Monitoring Book Ads in Amazon

So, now that you know how to set up your ads, it’s time to ask yourself three questions. Am I making money? Am I establishing a branding platform, and/or Am I establishing name recognition?

1. The ACos

ACoS stands for Advertising Cost of Sale. It’s basically a ration that measure the amount you spend on the ad campaign [x] and divides that number X by the Sales you’ve earned directly from that Ad. THAT’S HOW YOU MEASURE WHETHER YOU ARE MAKING MONEY

FYI – If your book is priced between $2.99 and $9.99. then you earn a 70% royalty off the sale from Amazon. However, if your book is priced below $2.99 or above $9.99 then you earn only a 35% royalty off each Amazon sale.

In addition, it takes 3 days for Amazon to register “sales”, and attribute the sales to your ad, so you must be patient, and wait at least 72 hours to find out what sales were completed during that time.

2. Impressions Are Free 

In other words, you only pay on Amazon when people click on your specific ad, so your hype, visibility and brand recognition are given free commodity, meaning you may get up to 50,000 impressions of your ad and your book, without paying a single dime or penny. How fantastic is that?

 


3. Those Benefits That Are Not Measurable Include:

- Kindle unlimited page reads
If you are advertising a book on Kindly, you have unlimited amount of page reads that would not be accounted for in your ACoS.

- Ranking Boost
As you advertised book sells more copies, it rises on the Amazon Ranking lists, producing even more sales, that otherwise wouldn’t be possible.

- Your Mailing List and Brand Name Recognition
There is no way to measure this powerful resource and visibility provided along with AMS ads completely for free!
